Paleo, oh, oh, oh!
I’m so excited!
I started this blog because I wanted to share some of the things I was cooking up in my kitchen. I thought perhaps someone, somewhere, might connect with the ways I put together simple, nutrient-rich meals based on paleo principles.
There were basically two bloggers who inspired me for many years before I took the leap into creating Nourish Paleo Foods. The first was Melissa Hartwig, now one half of the power couple from The Whole 9. And the other was Melissa Joulwan of The Clothes Make the Girl.
I have literally read every word Melissa has posted on her blog since 2008 and have been charmed every time. Her recipes have been part of my holiday celebrations and every day meals for years. She magically combines ingredients I already have in my kitchen into dishes that I would never thought of even if I stared at the stove for 100 hours.
Plus with her appreciation for cute clothes, finding her best self and traveling to Prague, you just want to follow along and see what’s next.
What is next, as many of you may know, is Well Fed 2! She and her husband Dave are back in the kitchen working on the follow up to their first cookbook, Well Fed: Paleo Recipes for People Who Love to Eat. This beloved book is filled with scrumptious recipes and gorgeous photos, and also includes tips and notes and a primer on how to make paleo cooking happen in your life. All but one recipe are Whole30 approved.
So, why am I so excited!? Because Melissa has graciously allowed me to give away a copy of WellFed! I am proud to be able to provide a copy to one of my readers, thrilled that one more person will get to know the easy magic of her recipes.
Now, I think the whole world should already own a copy of Well Fed – and many of you probably already do! – but there might be a few folks who don’t. Or maybe you have a copy that is so grimy from splatters and wayward Sunshine Sauce that you want a fresh one. Or perhaps you know a friend or family member hasn’t yet gotten their hands on this book and discovered how amazing paleo cooking can be.
In any case, please enter! It’s super easy.
Simply leave a comment below stating your favorite recipe from The Clothes Make the Girl or WellFed. If you haven’t made any yet – whew! Are you in for a treat?! Just click on the image below, feast your eyes on the table of contents and pick one that looks the most drool-worthy.
Then, if you have friends or family or followers who you think might also be interested in winning a copy of WellFed, please share this with them as well!
If you leave a separate comment letting me know what social media platform you used to share it (ie. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.), that will count as another entry.
Winner will be notified by e-mail at the e-mail address associated with the comment on Tuesday, March 19. (So please make sure to enter your e-mail correctly! You need not worry that I will use your e-mail for anything else. I am not even sure what I would do with it honestly.)
If you don’t win, don’t be sad. Make yourself happy by simply downloading a 30-page e-book sampler or buying a copy either through her or on Amazon. Or just pop over to her blog and try out the Bora Bora Fireballs.
Here’s a wrap up of the rules. When you enter, you are acknowledging you have read and accept these rules.
- Limit two entries per person – one for leaving a comment and one for sharing through the social media outlet of your choice.
- Contest only open to U.S. residents. (That’s just to make shipping easier. I love everyone equally.)
- Entries will be accepted March 14 though midnight MT, March 18. The number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning.
- Winner will be selected from valid comments Tuesday, March 19, using random number generator. Invalid entries will not be counted.
- Winner will be notified by e-mail on March 19. Winner will have 48 hours to respond with their shipping address. If no response is received, then another winner will be randomly selected.
- The very happy winner will receive one copy of Well Fed by Melissa Joulwan of The Clothes Make the Girl.com!

I love her website and know I’ve made recipes from it but I can’t think of any off the top of my head. I’m intrigued by much in the book but the char siu really called out to me. Thanks for the giveaway!
I am a sucker for anything Asian inspired, so the Pad Thai is a regular go to for me.
I shared the giveaway on Pinerest
Would love to try the Scotch eggs. My husband has told me about the traditional version, and they sound very paleo -and delicious.

Every Recipe in the book is awesome… how to pick a favorite… I guess I’ll just say it is “the best chicken you will ever eat”. This is definitely a staple food in my house.
Wow, I’ve heard the term “meatza” before but didn’t give it much thought. Seeing that photo made my mouth water, and I instantly put it on the list of recipes I must try!
My favorite is her mayo. I’ve tried there’s and I always come back to her. Thank you for the giveaway.

My husband and I just started the whole30 today! we already are made a list of some of the burgers we want to make!!!
Scotch Eggs! We pre make them in batches of a dozen using local sausage & eggs, then freeze them for a fast “to go” recipe. My husband reheats then pops it in a wide mouth thermos and keeps it as “emergency rations” on his longer crazy days.
Scotch eggs are my favorite. So simple and delicious.
Cumin roasted carrots please!
My two favorite things, contests and food. Fun!
